Bachmann-Dambach Group buys world's first :M-Press Leopard.

Agfa Graphics announced today that Dambach Print+Service GmbH, the well-known screen printing house near Karlsruhe in Germany, purchased its first :M-Press Leopard digital press. Dambach Print+Service is the first printer in the world to use Agfa’s versatile : M-Press Leopard for high-quality printing on various substrates, primarily intended for point of sales applications. The purchase was finalised at Fespa Digital 2011.

Agfa Graphics Adds MicroGREEN’s Eco-Friendly Display Media to its Portfolio

Agfa Graphics, North America, today announced that the company has teamed up with MicroGREEN Polymers, Inc to offer a new, alternative, eco-friendly media to commercial and display printers. MicroGREEN (www.microgreeninc.com) of Arlington, WA, manufactures InCycleTM, created with recycled PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) material to be used for signs and displays. It is available in sheets or rolls of varying thickness and flexural stiffness, with a bright white, highly printable surface, making InCycle ideal for large signs, wall hangings, printed panels, and many other applications.

Agfa Graphics Debuts Innovative Packaging Technologies at InterPack

Agfa Graphics will debut its most advanced packaging technologies at Interpack 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany, 12-18 May (Hall 13 Stand A82). Agfa Graphics' offerings include the :Dotrix digital inkjet press—a system that was built in cooperation with flexo-press manufacturer Edale—giving packaging producers the ease and flexibility of a flexo press with the quality and productivity advantages of a digital inkjet press. Agfa is also displaying its :Agora Ink technology. These new generation UV inkjet inks were developed specifically for the newest Kyocera KJ4A high speed heads and can print at extreme speeds on any substrate with no compromise in quality.

Agfa today announced the North American introduction of Synaps UV, an environmentally-friendly, premium waterproof substrate designed for indoor and outdoor sign & display applications using UV-curable inks. Synaps UV will be on display at Agfa’s booth (#4153) during ISA’s Sign Expo 2011 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, April 28-30.
