Agfa Graphics announced today that Dambach Print+Service GmbH, the well-known screen printing house near Karlsruhe in Germany, purchased its first :M-Press Leopard digital press. Dambach Print+Service is the first printer in the world to use Agfa’s versatile : M-Press Leopard for high-quality printing on various substrates, primarily intended for point of sales applications. The purchase was finalised at Fespa Digital 2011.

Agfa Graphics, North America, today announced that the company has teamed up with MicroGREEN Polymers, Inc to offer a new, alternative, eco-friendly media to commercial and display printers. MicroGREEN (www.microgreeninc.com) of Arlington, WA, manufactures InCycleTM, created with recycled PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) material to be used for signs and displays. It is available in sheets or rolls of varying thickness and flexural stiffness, with a bright white, highly printable surface, making InCycle ideal for large signs, wall hangings, printed panels, and many other applications.

Following its official launch, Agfa Graphics has now released full details at FESPA Digital of its new :M-Press Leopard which is targeted at the growing numbers of users who want the speed and quality of offset litho and screen-printing but with the convenience of a wide-format ink-jet platform. Designed on the same lines as the :M-Press Tiger, this new machine offers very fast throughput rates and the ability to produce double-sided print with precision registration.

Demand for the digital capabilities of Agfa Graphics' :M-Press has resulted in the introduction of a new model in the :M-Press family. Designated the :M-Press Leopard, it is a new version of the machine which brings its advanced ink-jet technology to display producers who want versatility and high quality at a considerably lower investment point and with the same very low :M-Press variable production cost. Thanks to the new design, :M-Press allows for new applications that require more manual handling.

Only recently, Agfa announced that Cestrian Imaging, one of UK's leading digital print suppliers had upgraded its first :M-Press to full greyscale printing and also installed a second :M-Press Tiger in Manchester. To promote the versatility of the new technology, Cestrian Imaging produced a personalised hence unique piece of digital print for their customers.

Agfa Graphics announced today that a significant range of new inkjet printers will be launched at Fespa Digital in Hamburg 24-27 May 2011. Agfa Graphics will announce a new model of the market leading :M-Press family for industrial high-end digital printing solutions as well a new high productivity :Jeti 5 metre UV roll to roll printer next to the recently revealed :Anapurna M1600 and the introduction of roll to roll options for the :Jeti Titan flat bed press.

Agfa Graphics will debut its most advanced packaging technologies at Interpack 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany, 12-18 May (Hall 13 Stand A82). Agfa Graphics' offerings include the :Dotrix digital inkjet press—a system that was built in cooperation with flexo-press manufacturer Edale—giving packaging producers the ease and flexibility of a flexo press with the quality and productivity advantages of a digital inkjet press. Agfa is also displaying its :Agora Ink technology. These new generation UV inkjet inks were developed specifically for the newest Kyocera KJ4A high speed heads and can print at extreme speeds on any substrate with no compromise in quality.

Agfa Graphics announced today that Nutis Press, Inc. of Columbus, Ohio, has purchased the :M-Press TIGER, a high-speed, UV flatbed inkjet press offering the versatility of inkjet combined with the low throughput costs and special effects of the screen printing process. The :M-Press will be installed at Nutis during the ISA show.

Agfa today announced the North American introduction of Synaps UV, an environmentally-friendly, premium waterproof substrate designed for indoor and outdoor sign & display applications using UV-curable inks. Synaps UV will be on display at Agfa’s booth (#4153) during ISA’s Sign Expo 2011 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, April 28-30.
